The Council is currently looking at the way in which the Local Strategic Partnership (The Greenwich Partnership) is structured. Consequently, the Network is also soon to examine the way it works, to ensure it responds adequately to whatever changes occur.
With the development of the Local Area Agreement Greenwich has seen the rise of several new partnerships between service providers. These include:
- Crime and Disorder Partnership
- Children's Trust
- and more
These partnerships do not presently sit on the LSP board, although there are suggestions that they should.
These smaller partnerships have been formed in order to help Greenwich achieve the goals as set out in the LAA. Part of the LAA identifies the need for input from the community, voluntary and faith sector on these partnerships.
Currently, GCN only sits on the Greenwich Partnership and we are therefore assessing the way in which it can promote its voice on the smaller partnerships.
The Networks are meeting soon to discuss ideas on how they will move forward. More information will be provided then.
