Understanding the Children's Trust (February 2nd 2006)
The conference took place at START Woolwich and was one of the best attended conferences to date. Speakers included Councillor Danny Thorpe, Sheila Norris - The Children and Young People's Plan, and Joss Bell from the Joint Area Review.
Presentations where given by all three speakers and these are available for download. A newsletter summarising these speeches will also be available soon.
Services for Older people (6th September 2005)
Guest speakers at the event were Jill Bell, Director of Adult Services for Greenwich Teaching Primary Care Trust and John Nawrockji, Director of Greenwich Social Services.
The conference addressed a number of issues and by the end various suggestions were made to improve the services for older people. These included:
- More activities for older people in homes
- Better signposting and information for those who will need to access their own care at home and residential/nursing care
- More support for older people in regeneration areas
- Better accessibility to buildings
- Support for minority ethnic groups to set up there own lunch clubs and other forms of socialising

Services for 14 - 19 year olds (12th May 2005)
Once again the conference took place at START Woolwich. Guest speaker at the conference was Lois Allen from Connexions.
The conference addressed a number of issues and by the end various suggestions were made to improve the services for 14-19 year olds. These included:
- More support for young people for young people to sustain projects after funding cessation
- Specialist premises for young people to use
- More facilities for young disabled people in Greenwich Council
- Budget and finance training for young people as debt is becoming a big problem
- Specialist premises for young people to use
- More publicity for what's available in terms of activities.
