Current themes of interest for the GCN

What are the themes?

Greenwich has four themes, all of which are priority areas and are linked to the Greenwich Strategy. They are:

Throughout the financial year 2006/7 community conferences will be held on each of the above topics. These conferences give members of the public, community groups, voluntary groups and faith groups the opportunity to find out about each area and ask questions. For more information about the next Community Conference visit the Calendar of events page.

These conferences are your opportunity to have your voice heard, so do not miss out!

What is the Local Area Agreement? (LAA)

The LAA is an agreement between the Government and Greenwich Council. It is designed to help Greenwich address specific priority areas by increasing local accountability. It is also designed to facilitate improved dialogue between partners (voluntary, public and business sectors) about local priorities and how these are addressed.

The LAA also introduces new ways of measuring the success of its projects. By using new methods of working Greenwich and its partners will have the ability to monitor the progress of its activities more effectively.

If you would like to know more about the LAA, you can contact us or visit the Greenwich Partnership website.
